The Washington Federation of Animal Care and Control Agencies has teamed up with Shelter Animals Count (SAC) for our Annual Population Survey. SAC is a national data-collection effort for shelters/rescues and will provide a more complete overview of the animal welfare landscape in Washington State. We encourage all agencies in Washington to sign up and participate at www.shelteranimalscount.org.
You should have received an invitation to join the Washington Federation Coalition in order to report your numbers. If you did not receive or need another invitation, please e-mail Programs Administrator Cora at cora@wafederation.org.
SAC does not collect Spay/Neuter data. The Washington Federation feels this information is important for making informed decisions regarding animal welfare in our state, therefore we will continue to collect spay/neuter data from organizations. This form only needs to be filled out if you perform spay/neuter at your facility or you utilize veterinary services of a non-member. This form can be saved in progress, and a copy of the results will be e-mailed to you once completed.
Submission of these report is required for members wishing to apply for our SPAY ~ NEUTER ~ ADOPT spay and neuter grant.
We are working hard on a new, interactive version of our Animal Population Survey Results, so stay tuned for our big release coming soon!
