The Federation is offering a one-day euthanasia-by-injection training course in Everett on Monday, November 13th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This workshop is a hands-on training program designed for shelter veterinarians, shelter staff, animal control officers, and anyone else responsible for humane animal euthanasia.
In this comprehensive certification course, students will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to perform compassionate and humane euthanasia by injection on an animal when necessary.
The course will consist of classroom theory, covering anesthetics, anatomy, injection sites, drug mechanism, proper dosage, legal record keeping and much more. Students will also learn application of the skills necessary for performing humane euthanasia.
After successful completion, students will be Certified Euthanasia Technicians (CETs) with a basic foundation of practical skills and a sound understanding of the entire euthanasia process.
