On Saturday May 7th, 2016, the Washington Federation of Animal Care and Control Agencies met for their 2016 Strategic Planning meeting. Eleven board members and five committee members bet at the Humane Society for Tacoma and Pierce County for this session. Topics that are being looked at are whether the Federation’s mission is adequate to describe the work they do, what focus legislative work should take, and how to provide the best value to our members and support the work they do in animal welfare. Main areas focused on will be legislation, spay/neuter, memberships, and professional development. This is the first of several sessions which will define a plan for how the Federation will proceed over the next several years.
